What a Clusterfuck THAT was!

Yeah, so today (Monday 29th) was something of a clusterfuck.

To cut a long story short, my medical/driving assessment got cancelled at zero notice. I’m going to have to see if I can reschedule. I’ve already emailed the manager, and I’ll give him a ring if I’ve not heard anything back by Wednesday.

So yeah… not exactly the best start to a new week.

++++++++

My weekend was a bit up and down, really.  Probably because the sertraline I’m currently using is from a different company to the last lot.  It always takes a while to settle down when I end up changing brands.  OK, as generics, they’re all supposed to have bio-equivalence, but when the tablets themselves are a different size, they’ll have slightly different compositions, which may alter the digestion and diffusion rates… and so on.  With the brain being such a delicately balanced and highly complex piece of wetware, small changes can have some pretty big effects.

Stands to reason, doesn’t it?

On the up side, I had my first ever photo shoot as a model.

Here’s one of the pictures from it:

The pose and the photo in general were taken by a rather nice chap by the name of Dave, who goes under the nom de guerre of Baldilox on a modelling site by the name of Purpleport.com.  If you’re interested in either taking some photos of models or doing a bit of it yourself, I’d recommend getting yourself on there.  All you need is four photos of yourself, showing your face and a full length shot, and if they’re clear and follow the guidelines, you’re in.

There’s some good people on there and you get to see some awesome photography.

What’s not to like?

This week gets quite busy after tomorrow (Tuesday, that is).  I’m going to a photographic studio in Oldham for some portraits and some possible nude stuff (having seen the work of the guy who I’m shooting with, they should come out pretty damned awesome).

On Thursday afternoon, I’ll be togging at a shoot I’ve arranged with a model from Manchester by the name of Kat at Beaumont Park.  She wants to do some band merch, which isn’t a problem considering the number of t-shirts I have hanging around, and I want to do some Goth stuff.  So we’ll both be well served by that one.

I’m sure I’ve got a shirt or two I can part with, too, so this’ll be a bit more than TFP.

Then on Friday, it’s down to Barnsley to be taught how to be a life model.  So I’ll be getting my kit off again, but this time being either drawn or painted.  That’ll be a bit of a change of pace.  I can see it being almost meditative.  Should be interesting.

I might actually see about doing a podcast tomorrow.  Haven’t done one in a while, and I really need to get back into it.  I really used to enjoy doing it, but that faded towards the end, when depression started to really suck all the joy out of life.

Need to get it back…
