This Week on Wyrd Ways Rock Show: ⚠️ CONTENT WARNING: Adult language and topics.
Running late thanks to Apple Music’s frustrating policies. This highlights why platforms like Bandcamp are better for both artists and fans.
As well as playing some excellent new Rock and Metal, we’re supporting Studio Sevvven, a North London kink/LGBTQIA+ space under threat. Let’s stand against this wave of puritanism targeting alternative lifestyles.

This is probably the most musically diverse and non-traditional show I’ve ever done, featuring intriguing finds from Instagram Stories and Reels. As always, if I love it, I’ll play it, leading to a mix with strong representation from Australia, women, and queer artists—especially in the Alt and Metal genres.
I’m actively seeking interviews with Rock and Metal musicians or fans, particularly women, queer individuals, and those with backgrounds in sex work. Diverse perspectives make for a stronger community, especially in the face of increasing challenges from the right-wing.
Music submissions are always welcome! If you’re part of these groups—or just have great music to share—message me via the link provided.
Lastly, if you haven’t already, subscribe and rate the podcast. It helps more people discover the music and support the bands we feature. Let’s amplify these voices together!

I explore the transformation of music buying habits over the decades and how they’ve not necessarily changed for the better. From browsing cassettes in Woolworths to the rise of streaming services, I look at how digital technology has reshaped the music industry. Learn about the impact on artists’ compensation and why some music lovers prefer buying tracks directly. Is the convenience of streaming worth the cost to artists and consumer choice?
8th March was International Women’s Day. It would also seem that March is Women’s History Month. It would have been nice to actually have been informed of that. Anyway, this edition of The Wyrd Ways Rock Show celebrates and commemorates the role of women in Metal.
This edition of The Wyrd Ways Rock Show came together a lot quicker than I was expecting, to be honest. I just happened to find […]
